The International Film Festival for Children and Youth (IFFCY) in Isfahan has scheduled to host filmmakers from more than 40 countries.
The festival’s information center recently announced the contenders which will compete at various categories of the festival.
Works from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Canada, China, Czech, Russia, Denmark, Turkey, Japan, the US, India, Qatar, Bangladesh and Egypt are among them.
The festival has founded a fan club to encourage children and their parents to attend such an international venue and to inform them about the details of the event. So far, more than 12,000 Isfahan residents have signed up to the club.
Alireza Rezadad, the president of the 30th IFFCY earlier said the touristic and artistic city of Isfahan will host the festival for four coming years until 2021.
The International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults is annually organized by Farabi Cinema Foundation in affiliation with the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs.
The International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Isfahan aims to discover and develop children’s talents in arts and cinema.
Children and youth as well as professional filmmakers are encouraged to attend the festival to promote arts of children cinema and to highlight the role of cinema in caring for children.
The 30th edition of IFFCY will be held from June 30 to July 6, 2017 in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
